Regent Aerospace Corporation’s Survival Solutions Division receives FAA TSO-C13f Approval for Single Cell Life Preserver.
Valencia, California
Decenmber 1, 2006
Regent Aerospace Corporation (RAC) Indiana based Vice President and General Manager, Mike Lilley today announced the approval of the worlds lightest TSO-C13f approved Life Preserver (14 oz. 398 grams).
“We are very delighted that the FAA has issued Regent Survival Solutions TSO Authority (TSOA# PT3842CE) to produce our RSS-301 Series Single Cell Life Preserver. As a TSO applicant, we have attempted to exceed the performance standards while producing a vest that will offer weight and space savings over the industry standards.” Stated Bryan Fine, Chief Engineer of Regent Survival Solutions (RSS). The ability to manufacture the RSS-301 Series Vest adds to Regent’s existing capabilities of overhaul, repair, test and certification of aircraft seats, vests, rafts, and slides currently supported at the Plainfield, Indiana facility.
Most industry experts have not fully realized the savings opportunities due to weight reduction when it comes to vests, but with so many vests on a plane and fuel prices as they are every bit helps.
This new product can be provided with custom packaging and offers the smallest pack size of any TSO approved life preserver. RSS can even offer 5 or 10-year service life packaging as the OEM.
Additional features include automatic and manual inflation, emergency locator light, one click donning and 37 pounds of buoyancy.
Please help me in congratulating Regent Survival Solutions on their recent success.
